On Thursday 16th October 2025, a night of celebration took place in the Royal Marine hotel, Dún Laoghaire. This night marked the 73rd Annual Dinner of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland. The event brought together 200 professionals across the transport, logistics and supply chain sector to network and celebrate the recognition of individuals and organisations within the sector with the CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Awards.
Attendees celebrated in the glamourous scenic surroundings of the Royal Marine hotel and were treated to a networking drinks reception on arrival, kindly co -sponsored by PerformanSC and CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Skillnet. A four-course meal followed, with special guest speaker, Daniel Stanton, known to many as Mr. Supply Chain over from the US taking to the stage to speak about the importance of relationships, trust and vulnerability in building a resilient supply chain. An extremely apt topic given the important networking element of being part of a professional body.
The CILT Summit - Supply Chain Resilience seminar returned for its third year, this time at the RDS Simmonscourt, co- located with the popular National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Exhibition.
Taking place in a private event space, this CILT members event was sponsored with thanks to Irish Rail Freight.
Darragh Kelly, Regional Director for Amazon UK & Ireland gave the keynote address reflecting on his journey from a family farm to leading Amazon’s final mile delivery operations. Drawing on early lessons in supply chain efficiency, he detailed how Amazon is building resilient, adaptive logistics systems to respond to global disruptions like Brexit, COVID-19, and power outages.
