How do i become a member?

Step 1 Online Application
Go to the Online Application area of the website.
Click on 'Apply & Join CILT Now.
Complete the form and click 'Save' - an automated response will be sent to you.
Please provide as much information as you can - your level of membership is dependent on the information you provide.
 

Step 2 Review Process
Once an application has been received it is processed by our Membership Convenor.
 

Step 3 Final Decision 
All membership applications are reviewed by CILT CLG Board. They make the final decision about what level of membership should be awarded to each applicant. 
 

Step 4 Notification
Applicants are notified about the level of membership being awarded to them by email.

Once membership is approved each applicant will recieve details about payment of fee and paying online.

FAQs

No, do not complete the online application – please email members@cilt.ie and a member of staff will check your information. We will then come back to you as to what to do next.
Individuals apply online to join the Institute first.  You will be sent a confirmation email welcoming you to the Institute and our Membership Team will contact you to explain the joining process. In most cases, we will require you to supply a copy of your CV.  Once an application has been received it is processed by our Membership Team and the Membership Convenor. When your membership application is approved by the Convenor, you will be notified of your membership grade.   Please Note: The Board of Directors have the Final Decision about what level of membership should be awarded to each applicant. 
This could be for a variety of reasons: - The Newsletter is being sent to your junk mail – you will need to ‘Mark it as Safe’ so it appears in your inbox and not as junk / spam. - You have changed jobs – many individuals use a work email to receive the Newsletter and move on to other employment. It is your responsibility to keep CILT updated, please email us at communications@cilt.ie to change address. -You may have opted out of the Newsletter some time ago, if you wise to receive it again please email communications@cilt.ie stating you would like to go back on the Newsletter list. -It may be blocked by your work email – please contact your IT section to ask them. -If you have any queries relating to the Newsletter please email communications@cilt.ie and we will contact you.
