The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland is a member of the wider CILT International family, which has offices in over 30 countries and a global membership of more than 33,000 professionals. CILT is the recognised global professional body for those working in the logistics, transport and supply chain industries.
In Ireland, CILT represents professionals across freight transport, passenger transport, logistics, supply chain management, infrastructure, planning and policy. Our members work in the public and private sectors and include practitioners, managers, academics and industry leaders who collectively shape how goods and people move across the country.
CILT Ireland plays a vital role in supporting professional standards, education and lifelong learning, offering internationally recognised qualifications, continuous professional development, and opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange. Through these activities, the Institute supports career progression and helps ensure the Irish logistics and transport sector remains competitive, resilient and future-focused.
A key part of CILT Ireland’s mission is its active contribution to national transport and logistics policy. Drawing on the expertise of its membership, the Institute develops policy positions, research papers and formal submissions that provide evidence-based insight to government, public bodies and stakeholders.
